Every Piece of Writing has its Own Place
I love writing this blog and I use it to discuss the things that are important to me. I also write articles that are more business related and at one point I tried to add these to this blog too. I soon realised that they don’t really have a home here. My copywriting work is part of my writing life, but my blog followers aren’t necessarily interested in those sorts of articles.
What I do now is write articles on a Business blog. These articles are relevant to the people who read and share them. I have links on my website to both my personal blog (this one) and my business one, so that visitors can choose which one they would prefer to read.
I already feel that this blog has enough hats. I concentrate mainly on fiction, health and family travel and that, really, is enough. Writing business-style articles is an important part of my work, so I need to do these too, but they needed a different home. This month I wrote about re-marketing products. It’s a nostalgia-seeking look at some old products that are back on our shelves and how they have either been given a fresh-take or adapted for a more modern audience. If you were around the first time high-rise jeans and Dr Martins were in fashion, then I’m sure you will identify with this piece.
